The Foundation

CanCare India Foundation is a public charitable trust working to address cancer as a public health challenge shaped by awareness, prevention, early understanding, and broader social, biological, and environmental factors. Our work focuses on strengthening cancer literacy, encouraging early action, supporting informed decision-making, and engaging institutions and communities in responsible public health efforts.
We operate with the belief that cancer cannot be understood or addressed through treatment alone. It demands sustained engagement with knowledge, systems, and people long before illness reaches a clinical stage.

Public Health Perspective

CanCare India engages cancer within the broader ecology of life and health. We examine how rapid urbanisation, lifestyle changes, environmental exposure, and social conditions influence disease, and we work to bring preventive thinking into public awareness and institutional practice. Our initiatives combine education, public engagement, research-oriented learning, and patient guidance, while respecting the essential role of medical professionals and clinical care.
We neither reject modern science nor accept every modern practice uncritically. Our work is grounded in honest scientific inquiry, openness to evidence, and a commitment to approaches that genuinely serve long-term wellbeing.

Scope of Our Work

Our activities span multiple areas of public health engagement, including cancer awareness programmes, early detection literacy, education and training initiatives, research and knowledge development, public system collaboration, and patient guidance. Some initiatives are currently active, while others are being developed in line with our long-term objectives as defined by the Trust.
Rather than functioning as a single-programme organisation, CanCare India Foundation is structured to grow across regions and institutions, adapting its work to real-world contexts and public needs.

Collective Responsibility

Cancer prevention and awareness require collective responsibility. CanCare India works with medical professionals, educators, students, public institutions, local bodies, researchers, volunteers, and community members to build shared understanding and coordinated action. We actively encourage individuals and institutions who share our commitment to public health, preventive oncology, and honest inquiry to engage with our work.
